I got tapped to help our sister agency promote Guinness' launch of their second ever USA brewery, Guinness Open Gate Brewery Chicago.

Brewing the hype

To get Chicagoians excited about the new spot, we ran paid and organic social campaigns, OOH ad placements, and even created a drone show along the iconic Lake Shore Drive.

Cheers to success

Our efforts were so successful, we crashed their reservation site, ensuring their taproom was full for weeks past the grand opening.

Organically gained 13,946 IG followers in just under 4 weeks
3.2M+ and 4M+ reached on FB and IG respectively
44k+ and 71k+ visits on FB and IG

Sadly, the opening of the brewery was delayed maaaaaaany times due to permit issues. We didn't have an actual opening date for the first half of our promotional push.

In addition to delightful pours, Guinness OBG Chicago boasts a full-fledged bakery, barista quality coffee counter, and a full-service restaurant.

Swipeable carousel posts showing the BTS of the brewery's build helped us generate a lot of excitement for the opening. The brewery is full of artful details from repurposed beer barrels, to a dramatic foot wooden harp sculpture hanging over the main bar.

Eye-catching, copy forward visuals helped us promote the brewery especially while it was still very much under construction.

As we got closer to opening, we were able to keep the same messaging, but swap to photo visuals.
